Angela Mew
Senior Foundation Relations Associate and Grant Writer
Angela has more than 10 years of nonprofit development and government relations experience working on a variety of issues including criminal justice reform, child welfare advocacy, health, education, and legal aid. In her previous roles, Angela served as a Development Director at Elevate, a full service nonprofit consulting firm based in Washington, D.C. that assists organizations with building and managing their federal, state, city and private foundation grants programs. Angela was responsible for managing a portfolio of up to seven nonprofit clients and managing a team of project coordinators and grant writers.
She has also worked in development at organizations such as the Center for Court Innovation, Legal Aid Society, Nazareth Housing, and Bellevue Hospital and has worked as an independent grant writing consultant for several national and international organizations.
Angela has a bachelors in Social Sciences, Political Science, and Economics and pursued a Master’s degree in Government at Harvard University. In her free time, she volunteers for several organizations including working as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate for foster children.
