Ingham County Prosecutor
Carol A. Siemon, Ingham County Prosecutor, is the first woman elected Prosecutor in the County. She joined Fight Crime: Invest in Kids, Michigan after her 2016 election.
Prosecutor Siemon was an Assistant Ingham County Prosecutor for 11 years. She has investigated child welfare agencies, prosecuted domestic violence and sexual assault offenders, worked with the Michigan Race Equity Coalition, and developed policies to stop the over-representation of minorities in juvenile facilities.
Prior to her election, Prosecutor Siemon worked as an assistant prosecutor in Ingham County between 1983 and 1995. She also has held positions in the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan, Michigan Legislative Service Bureau, the state Office of Children’s Ombudsman and the State Court Administrative Office, and her most recent post at Public Policy Associates.
