DeAnna Duncan Grand
Vice President of Strategic Planning and Development
DeAnna Duncan Grand joined the Council for a Strong America in 2020 and leads the development and strategic planning work for all of the organization. Prior to joining CSA, Grand served as the Director of Development/Policy Analyst at the Learning Policy Institute. Grand has also worked with a wide array of organizations, including the NEA Foundation, America’s Promise Alliance, Association of Science-Technology Centers, Duke Ellington School for the Arts, Source Theatre Company, and the Fairfax Symphony. Throughout her career, she has co-authored several reports, including New Tech Network: Driving Systems Change and Equity Through Project-Based Learning in Public Schools and Teaching the Way Students Learn Best: Lessons from Bronxdale High School.
Grand holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations and a master’s degree in theater, film, and television from the University of California, Los Angeles. She also holds a doctorate degree in education policy and practice from the University of Maryland.
