Jake Ferreira

National Director, Mission: Readiness

Jake Ferreira is the Membership Director and National Director for Mission: Readiness, leading an organization of nearly 800 retired flag and general officers who volunteer their time to help strengthen national security by ensuring kids stay in school, stay fit, and stay out of trouble.

Jake previously led national operations for Mission: Readiness and also served as the California State Director. In that role, he established numerous innovative alliances with school districts, universities, businesses, and health advocacy organizations that improve nutrition, increase physical activity, promote access to safe drinking water, and highlight active transportation programs in schools and communities.

As a Commander in the United States Coast Guard, Jake has completed multiple tours of duty and deployed for response operations across the United States and internationally. He currently serves as an Emergency Preparedness Liaison Officer (EPLO) in the Coast Guard Reserve.

Jake is an Advisory Board member for the National Drinking Water Alliance and Executive Director of Hope Strengthens Foundation, a public charity that provides critical financial support to individuals and families facing a life-threatening illness, disability, or recovery from traumatic injuries.

Jake holds both an M.S. in Leadership and a B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University. He completed the Senior Executive Fellows program at Harvard Kennedy School of Government and earned his commission from the United States Coast Guard Officer Candidate School.

Jake and his wife Julia, a middle school administrator, are the proud parents of Cruz.
