District Attorney Hermann Earns Children’s Crime Fighting Award

Bob Hermann has been a member of Fight Crime since 2003. In 2015, he received the Children’s Crime Fighting Award.

The law enforcement leaders of Fight Crime: Invest In Kids in Oregon, honored District Attorney and Oregon District Attorney Association President Bob Hermann at the Oregon District Attorneys Association’s annual meeting with the prestigious Fight Crime: Invest in Kids Oregon Children’s Award.

Crook County District Attorney and Incoming Oregon District Attorney Association President, Daina Vitolins, and Fight Crime: Invest in Kids State Director, Martha Brooks, presented the award, saying:

Preventing more kids from becoming criminals should be a higher priority rather than waiting for them to fill jail beds, and is in the best interest of our children and our communities. Bob Hermann shares that vision, and has worked tirelessly with policymakers and the public to encourage them to make wise investments in early prevention programs.

District Attorney Hermann was honored by Fight Crime: Invest in Kids for his work on child abuse and neglect prevention, safe foster care, quality early childhood and care programs, Head Start, pre-K, and after-school programs. These proven programs not only save taxpayers money, but also are the most powerful weapons against crime and keep kids from becoming criminals in the first place.
