Improving Kentucky's education system for a stronger economy and military

Kentucky’s politically divided legislature passed a bipartisan budget in 2016. However, that budget reflected many trade-offs, including cuts to higher education to fund state pensions. Our members in Kentucky work to ensure that cuts to education don’t become the norm. Kentucky has some of the lowest education levels in the country, which is weakening the pool of recruits from which businesses and the military draw.
