Promoting early education in the Gem State.

Despite heated debates in 2016, Idaho lawmakers increased funding for the state’s K-12 schools. This funding will sponsor better pay for teachers and new literacy programs, among other improvements. Idaho is one of five states that does not fund pre-K, and efforts to create a pilot state pre-K program have so far fallen short. Our members are working to make pre-K a high profile issue in the state house.
