Working for safer communities and a stronger economy in the Pelican State

Louisiana’s divided government came together in 2016 to pass a bipartisan budget. However, politicians were forced to make drastic cuts to a variety of programs in the face of a looming shortage of funding. Our members protected pre-K programs and schools from those cuts, publicizing research showing the connection between a stronger education system, a stronger economy, and safer communities in Louisiana.
