In the midst of debates over higher education and a budget shortfall, Missouri’s Democratic Governor and Republican-controlled legislature came together on one issue: improving the quality of state-funded preschools. Our business and retired military leaders in Missouri led the effort to educate lawmakers, linking quality preschool to a better prepared military and workforce. The legislation will ensure that Missouri’s state-funded preschools provide 4-year-olds with a higher-quality education.
