Improving safety, security, and prosperity in the Sunflower State

Kansas is facing budget crisis, and state lawmakers are looking at across-the-board spending cuts to programs ranging from transportation, to corrections, to education. Our retired military leaders are encouraging lawmakers to protect investments in children's health and education, citing data that show 71 percent of young adults in Kansas cannot serve in the military. Law enforcement and business leaders are echoing those concerns, linking investments in youth to productive, crime-free adulthoods.
