Some of the issues they discussed include the fact that, in California, less than 14 percent of eligible infants and toddlers are getting access to state-supported care, and 1.8 million kids eligible for high-quality childcare can’t access the care they need due to a lack of spaces. Additionally, fairly compensating the childcare workforce is integral part of bringing stability and growth to the workforce and providing consistent quality care for our youngest Californians.
