Buddy Mills

Buddy Mills began his Law Enforcement career as a State Game Warden with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in 1980. During his time as a Game Warden, he helped expose the youth in the community to the great outdoors. Through various programs and events, the youth were taught hunter education, water safety, game laws, exposure to camping, hunting and fishing. He was elected as Sheriff of Gillespie County and took office in 2009. Sheriff Mills continues to help with organized outdoor events for the youth. Since taking office in 2009 he has worked closely with Fight Crime Invest in Kids, through early intervention our youth understand the value of a productive life. The great outdoors has always been a great classroom for kids. Sheriff Mills currently serves on the membership and the legislative committees of the Sheriffs Association of Texas. He works very closely with the legislature and is currently the immediate past president of the Sheriffs Association of Texas.
