Jeff Getting

Prosecuting Attorney Jeff Getting was first elected in 2012 and was re-elected as the Kalamazoo County Prosecuting Attorney in 2016 and 2020. Prosecutor Getting currently serves as the President of the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan. He is an active member of PAAM’s Board of Directors and is the past chair of the Legislative Committee. By appointment of Governor Gretchen Whitmer, he is a member of the State of Michigan Human Trafficking Commission and the State of Michigan Crime Victim Services Commission. In addition, Prosecutor Getting serves the local community through his service as Chair of the Board of Directors for Prevention Works, Chair of the Advisory Board for the Kalamazoo County Office of Community Corrections, Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors for the Kalamazoo Probation Enhancement Program, and is a member of the Recipient Rights Advisory Committee for Integrated Services of Kalamazoo. Jeff has been a member of Fight Crime: Invest in Kids since 2013.
