John Payton Hood

Born and raised in Gulfport, Mississippi, John Payton graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Managerial Finance.

John Payton is a Vice President with Hancock Whitney in their Gulfport, Mississippi headquarters. He is a Commercial Relationship manager and has been with Hancock Whitney for 11 years.

In 2016, John Payton graduated from the Mississippi School of Banking, and was selected as a member of Leadership Gulf Coast in 2018. John Payton currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Gulfport Chamber of Commerce.

John Payton resides in Gulfport with his wife, Katie, and their son, Hewes.
