Sheriff Timothy Dunning has spent 46 years in law enforcement and has been Sheriff of Douglas County, Nebraska since 1994. He has served in leadership positions for the Nebraska Sheriffs Association, the Major County Sheriff’s of America Foundation, Domestic Violence Coordinating Council, and the Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies.

Sheriff Dunning has been a member of Fight Crime: Invest in Kids for 20 years. He has been an active spokesman for the importance early childhood education both through direct policymaker meetings and a series of press conferences to raise awareness with the public.
