Statement on Senator Debbie Stabenow's Retirement Announcement

Council for a Strong America President & CEO Barry Ford remarks on Senator Stabenow's years of dedicated public service

WASHINGTON, D.C.Council for a Strong America President & CEO Barry Ford made the following statement today on the news of Senator Debbie Stabenow’s (D-MI) intention to retire at the end of 2024:

“On behalf of the members of Council for a Strong America, we extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to Senator Stabenow for her extraordinary service to the people of Michigan and to all Americans. Throughout her career, she has been a steadfast champion for children—particularly in her service as Chairwoman of the Senate Agriculture Committee. Under her leadership, more children have access to fresh and nutritious foods. Mission: Readiness members have been honored to call her a partner and friend, and we look forward to continuing to work with her as she completes her service in the U.S. Senate.
