Childhood Obesity

In three decades, obesity tripled in the United States. As a result, American businesses are incurring billions of dollars each year in obesity-related medical spending, and the U.S. military is having trouble finding healthy recruits. State and federal policies are starting to catch-up with this fast-paced epidemic, providing the foundation for healthy foods in schools and safe walking and biking routes, among other solutions. Council for a Strong America supports initiatives that enable children to lead healthy lives, building a stronger economy and military.
