California 2022-2023 Budget and Legislative Priorities

CSA California works with business leaders, law enforcement, and retired military to advance policies for children & families

As California continues to navigate the historic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, Council for a Strong America recognizes the immense challenges and opportunities for advancing policies and programs that support the wellbeing of our children and youth. We believe all children and youth should have the opportunity to be healthy, educated, and prepared for success, and that California’s child care infrastructure is the backbone of our state. Our ReadyNation business leaders, Fight Crime: Invest in Kids law enforcement members, and Mission: Readiness retired military champions will work together to increase economic security for all families while supporting safer communities, healthier children, and a more productive economy. We look forward to bold and impactful investments and policy change in 2022 in the following areas:

  • Early Childhood Care & Education
  • Children’s Health & Nutrition
  • Expanded Learning Programs, and
  • K-12 and Postsecondary Education

We invite you to view our 2022 Budget and Legislative Agenda for our three organizations. You will note that each member group has slightly different priorities:

  • ReadyNation is focused on early care & education and K-12/postsecondary education
  • Fight Crime: Invest in Kids prioritizes expanded learning programs and early care & education
  • Mission: Readiness champions children’s health & nutrition as well as early care & education

We invite you to join us as together, with our members and partners of ReadyNation, Fight Crime: Invest in Kids, and Mission Readiness, as we help build a better California.
