Capitol Hill Briefing on the Citizen-Readiness Index

The discussion featured a panel of national experts who spoke from their personal and professional experiences to underscore America’s citizen-readiness problem

On September 13, Council for a Strong America held a Capitol Hill briefing. Moderated by former ABC News Capitol Hill Correspondent John Cochran, the discussion featured a panel of national experts who spoke from their personal and professional experiences to underscore America’s citizen-readiness problem. They also offered solutions as to what the next administration can do to ensure that today’s young Americans are citizen ready and prepared to build a strong nation. The three main topics focused on were early education, home visiting programs, and healthy school nutrition, as outlined in the national report, the 2016 Citizen-Readiness Index.
