Youth-Police Interactions

In recent years, a series of high-profile, violent incidents have sparked a national dialogue on how youth and police interact. In an effort to improve these interactions and support our law enforcement officers in the difficult work they do everyday in our communities, Fight Crime: Invest in Kids’ Police Training Institute will help officers determine new ways to de-escalate conflict effectively and have safe, positive interactions with young people. By coaching officers and academy recruits, this training aims to foster better police-youth relations and improve officer and public safety. The Police Training Institute will also work with youth to encourage respectful interactions and open dialogue.
